Stitched with Love

For this hackathon I created a simple chunky stitched sweatshirt that features red fabric hearts and white and pink embroidery thread stitched into the hearts and also the pocket and hood. I had originally come up with this idea after seeing something similar on TikTok and wanted to make my own that was way less expensive and had my own personal touch to it. This was the first time I have ever stitched with thick thread like this and I really enjoyed it

To make this, I first cut out the three hearts so I could use them to measure each other and make sure they were the right size and all looked how I wanted. Then, I used an embroidery hoop and pins to get the hearts flat on the sweatshirt and used a needle to stitch the heart on. Then I did the same for the two smaller hearts and then moved onto the pocket and hood where I simply just started in the back and made a loop around the seam of the hood and pocket and got it to be messy but cute and simple.
